Dazzle's Color Quest is designed for children, age 4 - 14, who love to imagine, create, and explore. Whether your child enjoys drawing, painting, building, or trying something completely new, they'll have the freedom to discover their own interests while growing in confidence, independence, and creativity.

Every artist begins at White Rank, makes choices at their own pace, and is encouraged to explore, experiment, and grow. The goal isn't to become the "best" artist—it's to become a more confident, independent, and imaginative one.

Dazzle's Color Quest is a year-long creative adventure at Art Cart Kids. Artists follow their own Creative Quest, earning Color Rank pins, Creative Badges, and developing the four Creative Superpowers as they grow. Every child progresses at their own pace through child-choice, open-ended art experiences.

Every artist begins with a White Rank on their first visit. As they explore, create and innovate, they earn Creative Badges in each of the 4 art forms. These together with both the art guides' observations and your child's self-evaluation move them through the Color Ranks: White, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, and Pink. Each Color Rank celebrates personal growth rather than competition with others.

The four Creative Superpowers are Notice, Imagine, Explore, and Share. These habits help children become thoughtful observers, creative problem solvers, confident communicators, and independent thinkers—skills that benefit them both inside and outside the studio.

Artists choose from four Art Forms during every visit:

Children are free to return to a favorite art form or explore something new, making every Creative Quest unique.

Artists earn Explorer, Creator, and Innovator Badges within each Art Form and at each Color Rank. These badges celebrate growing confidence, independence, and creative thinking as children continue developing their skills over time.

Every studio visit begins with a shared Invitation. During this short gathering, artists are introduced to a new artist, material, technique, or creative idea that inspires the day's Creative Quest. From there, each child decides how they would like to explore that inspiration in their own artwork.

No. Every artist follows their own Creative Quest. Children choose what to create, which Creative Zone to explore, which Creative Tools to use, and whether to continue an existing artwork or begin something new. Every creation reflects the artist's own imagination and ideas.

Some children enjoy spending several studio visits developing one artwork, adding new ideas, techniques, and details each week. Others are inspired to begin something new every time they visit.

Both approaches are encouraged because every artist works at their own pace. Children decide when an artwork is complete and when they're ready to begin a new creative adventure. This freedom helps artists develop patience, perseverance, and confidence in their own creative decisions.

The studio sketchbook becomes a personal record of each artist's Creative Quest. Children use it to collect ideas, experiment, plan, reflect, and celebrate their growth. Over time, it becomes a wonderful reminder of how much they've learned and how their creativity has grown.

Dazzle's Color Quest is designed as a year-long creative adventure. Attending weekly allows artists to build friendships, continue developing their ideas, earn Color Ranks and Creative Badges, and experience steady growth throughout their Creative Quest.

If for whatever reason they need to miss an entire week, they can take two classes the week after. They will have the same invitation but because there are 4 different zones, their second project will still be completely different.

Absolutely! New artists are welcome to join Dazzle's Color Quest at any time during the school year.

Our curriculum is thoughtfully designed so children never feel like they've "missed" an important lesson. Throughout the year, artists revisit the same Elements of Art and Principles of Design in new and engaging ways, exploring them through different materials, art forms, and Invitations. As children grow, they deepen their understanding each time they encounter these big ideas.

Because every artist follows their own Creative Quest, there is no required order for learning. Whether your child joins in August, November, or March, they'll begin at White Rank, receive the same warm welcome, and have every opportunity to grow, earn Color Ranks and Creative Badges, and develop the four Creative Superpowers.

Every new artist begins with a full Membership, giving them the complete Dazzle's Color Quest experience from their very first visit. Membership includes four studio visits each month, a personal studio sketchbook, Color Rank Pins & Certificates, Passport, Creative Badges, Invitations, and access to all four Art Forms. Plus, first time students will receive an Art Cart Kids apron.

Choosing an after-school program is an important decision. If, after your child's first four studio visits, you decide Art Cart Kids isn't the right fit for your family, simply let us know before your next monthly payment is due. We'll personally cancel your Membership for you with no hard feelings.
