Meet Me at The Met is a 5-hour, 4½-day summer camp running June 8–12, designed for children ages 5–13 who love to grow up to be an artist and follow their imagination wherever it leads. Each morning begins with open-ended exploration. Your child dives into collage, assemblage, and 3D building, choosing from two dozen imaginative themes or reaching into the ever-changing Treasure Chest of Junk—a favorite invitation for curiosity, problem-solving, and child-choice. No two creations ever look the same, and that’s exactly the point. After a simple lunch from home and time to move, play, and breathe outdoors, the afternoon slows into color and expression. Large sheets of watercolor paper invite sweeping brushstrokes. Canvases welcome acrylic paint like a professional artist. Ideas grow freely, without pressure, as imagination takes center stage. Along the way, your child decorates a personal easel—the perfect stage for proudly displaying artwork at home. A second outdoor play break keeps the day feeling balanced, easy, and joyful before a relaxed clean-up and pick-up routine. Friday is Fun Day. This final day is a half day filled with playful outdoor art experiences and creative surprises. At 12:00 noon, families are invited to an Awesome Art Show, where your child’s week of imagination, effort, and open-ended creation is celebrated and shared.
