Preparing for Día de los Muertos
The Saturday morning art class held at The Grounds Bistro and Cafe learned all about the day of the dead.
This holiday is celebrated in Mexico and many other Latin countries. It is also celebrated in the U.S., mostly in the southwest. It is held to remember and celebrate the lives of those family members that have departed Earth before us.
Today we painted sugar skulls, a sweet, skull shaped candy eaten during the celebration and the artists had a blast. Check out their sweet smiles and silly masks.
